Our councilman has indicated that federal tax credits might be used to move the Post Office to the north end of the new retail center development near Tompkins and 1st Capitol. St. Joseph Hospital has plans for the property where the Post Office now stands.

Area residents may have noticed the recent changes to the landscape near Tompkins and 1st Capitol. Residences that housed Lindenwood’s students for the last ten years are disappearing to make way for a retail center. We will eventually see a full-service grocery along with other stores.
